The Third International Conference on Women, Gender and Law will begin in Havana on June 30 with the participation of experts from almost 15 countries who will analyze the impact of the current world economic crisis on women's rights.

Doris Quintana, a specialist with the National Association of Cuban Jurists, told ACN that professionals from Argentina, Brazil, Spain, Chile, Mexico, Puerto Rico and Venezuela, among other countries, will attend the meeting.

The event will take place until July 2 at Havana's Hotel Nacional with the participation of psychologists, sociologists, social workers and philosophers who will discuss topics such as the impact of national policies and regulations; the promotion of public policies for citizens' safety; health; the environment; aging; international migrations; and gender.

Participants will also analyze topics such as sexual diversity, legal studies, the management of land, and ongoing integration processes in Latin America and Europe. For more information, click here
