VALPURI, Gender Studies Forum of Faculty of Social Sciences at University of Helsinki, jointly with the 1325 Network Finland, organises a course
"Gender, Conflicts and Peacebuilding"
The course explores violent conflicts, peace negotiations, peace-building and post-conflict development from gender perspective. Course Coordinator and Guest Lecturers will provide lectures on such topics as gendered lives in violent conflicts, sexual violence in conflicts, gender in international crisis management, gendered reconciliation, and gender mainstreaming in post-conflict development.
The course will be of interest for students of Political Sciences, Development Studies, Peace and Conflict Studies, Gender Studies, and all who want to increase their understanding on conflicts and gender.
