This report by Action on Armed Violence monitors the 33 307 civilians killed or injured by explosive weapons since 2011. It monitors incidents from 64 countries and territories globally and finds that a number of countries including Turkey, Yemen, Egypt, Libya Syria and Nigeria saw a rise in civilian deaths compared to the year before. It further highlights several key findings related to civilian deaths and injuries and notes that global civilian casualties are on the rise for the fourth year running.
